How our frozen farm-box delivery works

Ordering meat from a farm should feel straightforward. Here is what to expect when you order one of our ready-to-order farm boxes, from choosing your box to unpacking it at home.

Choose your box and check your delivery address

Our ready-to-order boxes include pasture-raised chicken, grass-fed lamb, a mixed chicken-and-lamb sampler, chicken bone broth, and ground beef from cattle raised at Laughlin Highlands Farm. UPS Next Day shipping is included in the listed delivered price of these boxes.

Enter your shipping address at checkout to see the delivery options available for your destination. If you are unsure whether we can ship to you, email the farm before ordering. Please don't assume that a box can ship to every U.S. address.

Prefer to choose the contents? Our Build Your Own Box option lets you select exactly 10 items from current availability. Its price is calculated from your selections; check the builder and checkout for your order's total and available delivery options.

Monday shipping is different from next-day transit

We ship our farm boxes on Mondays using UPS Next Day service. “Next Day” describes transit after your order ships—not the day after you place your order.

If you need a box for a particular occasion, please contact us before ordering to confirm the shipping schedule. Ask us about ordering cutoffs or holiday-week timing rather than counting on a particular arrival date.

Your box is packed frozen

We pack the products frozen in insulated packaging with cold packs. The individual packages make it easy to put away the box and choose only what you need for your next meal.

Contents depend on the box you choose. For example, the Ground Beef Box contains ten vacuum-sealed 1-pound packs. The Chicken Essentials Box is a curated assortment: cuts and sausage flavors vary with farm availability, and its approximate ten-pound total includes chicken stock.

Be ready to unpack promptly

Arrange for someone to bring the box inside and unpack it promptly after delivery. Check the packages as you unpack, then move the food into appropriate cold storage.

USDA advises that mail-order perishables should arrive frozen, partly frozen with ice crystals, or below 40°F when checked with a food thermometer. If perishable food arrives warm—above 40°F—do not eat or taste it; contact the shipper. See USDA's mail-order food safety guidance for receiving and handling advice.

Email farm@laughlinhighlandsfarm.com with your order number and photos, if possible, so we can help with a delivery concern. A photo alone cannot establish food safety; do not taste food to decide whether it is safe.
