Hi! We’re John and Mary Davis — 4th-generation farmers, blessed by God to steward this land and raise our family here in Gavers, Ohio.

And if you’ve never heard of Gavers… you’re not alone. Tucked into the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, it’s the kind of place where cows might outnumber people — and that’s just the way we like it. To us, it’s a little slice of rural Ohio heaven.

Our family has been farming this land since 1906, when my great-great-grandparents Alvin and Margaret Laughlin purchased the property. It became a working homestead under their son Walter and his wife Grace, then passed to their son Ray and his wife Claudia, and finally to my parents, Paul and Sandra, who took over in 1996.

Today, Mary and I are honored to continue that legacy, raising livestock and children on the same soil our great-grandparents did.

What We Do

We’re a regenerative ranch focused on producing beef, lamb, chicken, and turkey raised with integrity. Our animals are pasture-raised and rotationally grazed — no pesticides, no antibiotics, no GMOs, and nothing synthetic. Ever.

We believe God created a perfect system in nature. Our job is to work with it, not against it — caring for the land, respecting the animals, and leaving it all better than we found it.
